YES! Daily Kos' Worst One Day Traffic Ranking in Years
It's happening day by day. People are tired of Stalinist Daily Kos. People are angry that Markos Moulitsas believes it is okay to threaten people's families, their little children, and their jobs, merely because they may post something that his Kos Kops disapprove of. People are angry that Markos Moulitsas believes it is okay to out people's real life information at Daily Kos merely because his Kos Kops don't like that user. People are angry that Markos Moulitsas defends Kos Kops who go on record as saying that it is okay to sodomize, electroshock, and torture people in real life merely because they say something at Daily Kos that his Kos Kops don't like. People are angry that Markos Moulitsas has authorized this sick game of cyber Lord of the Flies and they have taken him up on his invitation to go elsewhere. People can look at past quotes of Markos Moulitsas, the thousands of good Democrats who have disavowed the site, and the venom that comes from the site and realize that it is best to stay far away from Stalinist Daily Kos. The truth is here, there, and everywhere.
On February 9, 2009, according to Alexa, Daily Kos' one day traffic ranking was 17,035. Now we're headed toward mydd territory. Hahahahahaha. Remember mydd? They were considered the 2nd biggest liberal blog at one point. Today they aren't even in the top 100 thanks to Jerome Armstrong.
Now Alexa has flaws but I use it for trends. While every major liberal leaning blog saw a flattening out or uptick after the end of November (They all went down somewhat from Election Day to November 30) Daily Kos plummetted in December even more. Now January saw only minor losses for Daily Kos with Inauguration Day preventing bigger losses. But now it's February. They are so desperate that they briefly considered confronting yours truly before changing the story that the aka's were for credibility.
Now expect Daily Kos to hover in that 9000-11,000 range on Alexa. Look at the Alexa graph here. See the trends of all the major sites.
The key here is again using the stats, reminding people of the things Kos says and has done, and making sure this piece of excrement is never seen as a voice of anything remotely resembling the Democratic Party.
Oh some funny news. My ranking at Alexa moved up from 16 million to 7 million. Now I'm under no illusiions. We will move up some more but until I professionalize the site (no not the Markos way) I won't be a top 100,000 blog. But if I could ever afford the servers and to pay someone good money to administer Scoop, I'll replace DailyKos and hit top 500

It could happen with grant money. If I ever get that business off the ground I'll do it for you. How much would it take?

Kos has put hundreds of thousands of dollars into his site, perhaps even millions. Hopefully it all just collapses on him like a deck of cards.
To do it in the beginning I think costs $10,000. Need the big servers, someone to monitor the ship, someone with tech experience like Peeder (but not him).
The number of ex kossacks wrongly driven from the site by the Kostapo outnumbers the active users remaining. If we organize we can put all these factions together. Part of why I'm doing the lists is to then create webs of sites people can go to.
The idea is simple. Townhouse gatekeepers are not welcome but everyone else is.
I'm just not in position to do it, yet. I had 4 months of no income when I studied for the bar plus I have to pay back my student loans. I'm working off credit card debt responsibly and will need two years and then 1 year to work off the supplemental part of my student loan and then I can balance the rest regularly. I won't ask my family for money, I've lived on my own for 14 years and can take care of myself.
