Partial Suffrage Closer For Washington DC

Today the Senate approved a bill that would lead to a representative for the people of Washington, DC.  They are about 700,000 Americans.  That's more people than there are living in Wyoming.

Racist Republican John McCain voted against suffrage.  He doesn't like the idea of black people having a vote.  In the past Republicans have been opposed to suffrage for the residents of  WAshington DC because most of the people living there are black.

DFQ supports full suffrage for the people of Washington DC.  They are entitled to one House Representative and two Senators.  So while 1 House seat is a partial victory, it's still a long way from what is needed to be done.

Passing full voting rights for the people of Washington DC should be a high priority, something done within days.  Instead, Harry Reid says the bill schedule is too busy.  Sorry Senator, make time.
