The Top 20 Politically RANKED Blogs (Yes DailyKos is NOT one of them)
Once again I have to do the work that the mainstream media won't do. As you all know there is a certain site that promotes itself as the number one political site on the internet. They do this to try and gain access and influence even though they have lost most of their viewers. Now I have proof they are not even in the top 20. If I want to count major newspapers or news outlets, they're not even in the top 100.
According to Quantcast here is a US ranking of sites that are political in nature.
80 - Huffington Post
152 - Drudge Report
287 - Politico
727 - Gawker
853 - Salon
916 - World Net Daily
950 - National Review.
1496 - Rolling Stone
1884 - Townhall
1946 - Newsbusters
2057 - New Yorker
2105 - MoveOn dot org

Okay this does not include cnn, abc, fox, nbc, cbs, the new york times, the washington post, and about 50 other newspapers that all cover politics.
Oh and Daily Kos - 3996 and fading fast because Kos has lost 75% of his viewers since October as he let the Cyber Lord of the Flies Kos Kops ruin the site.
They are not even in the top 20 of political blogs. It's time this myth about the premiere political site gets shattered. Here are the facts media. Do your job.

At Netroots Nation 2009, where the thugs will be, (although most people there won't be DK so I'll hang with them) I plan on bringing the following:
1. A big chart showing these rankings.
2. T shirts to wear that are basic in nature. (Stalinist Daily Kos doesn't not speak for Democrats, liberals, or the netroots)
3, Other peaceful and creative goodies.
Good news is there will be lots of media on the lookout for me and they will be filming it.

To me the stats are a key component. (Of course they just reflect how Kos and the Kos Kops destroyed the site)
Markos only power, and it's limited, is predicated on the perception by the corporate media and certain politicians that somehow he has this massive blog that ranks number one in traffic and that it's this open forum to express ideas from a liberal perspective.
If this perception is shattered, DailyKos folds up shop and drops down into mydd territory rankings wise.
