Trying To Live on $500,000 A Year (Part IV) - The Gala Charity Dresses
$35,000 a year is more than many people make. But to the rich snobs of Wall Street, this is how much many of the wives spend on dresses merely to attend 3 gala charity events. For each dress the cost for these divas is between ten and fifteen thousand dollars a year. It would be a mortal sin to wear the same dress twice so they wear it once and never again. I don't know whether to laugh or cry knowing how beneath 98% of society people like this are.
The fancy dresses are part of the Keeping Up With the Joneses mentality that many of these shallow individuals in loveless families have day in and day out. They judge each other on who has the most expensive dress. If Martin Luther King Jr. ever went to one of these events, he would have gotten up and said, "Judge people not by the dollars of their dress but by the content of their character."
In the real world, you can buy some really nice dresses for a couple of hundred dollars. In fact you can occasionally find some for less than $100.00.
Instead these Wall Street pigs think that $15,000 a year for a dress is a normal expense. And they want us to bail them out so they can buy more of them. Sorry greedy pigs - go to an outlet store or the mall and get yourself a nice dress for $200. Oh and wear it many times, nothing wrong with that.
Learn to live without the five digit dresses that you only wear once. Learn to live on "only" $500,000 a year.
