Where The Stimulus Money Goes
This is change we can believe in. There's a huge difference between Obama and Bush and it starts here with the stimulus package. There's a reason why no House Republican voted for it.
The plan helps repair school buildings, puts more money in middle class pockets, fixes bridges and tunnels, upgrades electric lines, helps create jobs, provides tax credits for first time home buyers, builds new roads, invests in commuter lines, restores federal lands, funds clean water projects, builds low income housing with green technologies, and a whole lot more.
Of course Republicans are pissed. They believe in corporate communism as well as Marxism for the rich and laissez faire capitalism for everyone else. They would rather spend 800 billion dollars on private jets, sports stadiums, corporate welfare, martinis and caviars for CEO business lunches, megachurch parking lots, tax credits for yachts, etc.... Boo hoo.
The plan is not perfect. It lacks a one time assets tax on people with over 10 million dollars worth of wealth. It fails to increase the capital gains tax on big businesses. It fails to restore income taxes on people making over 10 million dollars a year to their JFK . levels. It also fails to eliminate the billions of dollars in corporate welfare that hurts our economy. But it's a step in the right direction. Hopefully we can address these issues in 2010 or 2011.

That's what happens when you have a Republican in office. They care more about their corporate buddies than working class people. Millionaire Hannity is in the pockets of corporate America. That's why he against the Stimulus Package. Republicans are putting out hit pieces to stop the plan, via Hannity and Limbaugh.
