Donkeytale Smacks Down Free Speech Zone
There, they were "trolls". Here, mainly by virtue of their tag-teaming, they are now "respected" "insiders." Nevermind that respect and insiderism are supposedly anathema to a free speech site, or supposedly beside the point. Once you get the cliques formed, the trouble, the endless gotchas, the inane flame warz, never end....until finally, the massah becomes disgusted with what his site has become and pulls the plug on the entire mess.
The ex-hunteds have now become the kops. SUre, its a softer stick, no banning weapons, but there is more than one way to die....and a slow inconsequentiual death is the one preferred by cowards, and it is the one FSZ is experiencing before our eyes.
Cons turned kops is a phenomenon of which those of us who have experience with the prison industrial complex from the inside are very familiar....
This site picked up where PFF left off, which is to say, the spreading cancer of ex-Kos trolls and ex-kos kops who suddenly realized that, by joining forces, they could become that which they never could become at DKOS: self important figures possessing the respect of the kkkrowd.
And all the subtle and not so subtle attempts to monitor, regulate and set the tone of "normalcy" for a site with ostensibly, no rulez beyond not breaking the law.
Its never about principles. Its about the warmth at the center of the herd...
You got it. Most of these people are losers, a weird mix of ex kos kops, actual kos trolls, etc... acting exactly as you said. Subtly they drove away about 20 people from their clique b/c these people wouldn't conform to their groupthink. So now they are slowly dieing. People like Pager for example will always be angry and delusional. Cometman and Hamburglar are outcasts, desperate for a clique for they have no self worth. And I can go on and on.
Actually the ugogers were right about the FSZers (See Bouldin even you can be right on occasion) as the FSZers have been right about the Ugogers. Granted the ugogers are the true bottom of the sewer barrel but the FSZers are not many levels higher. Donkeytale describes it better than I can.
Oh and Bouldin actually is right here. Expect the plug to be pulled.
This is why most people in the real world actually like me. It's partly because I have principles, stick to them, and never have a need to fit into a clique for I can just be myself. In short, people don't always agree with me but they see at my core a good person with strong values.

1. I have 3 people who already would be FPers if I can ever figure out how to add them by going directly to the site without the customer id and password. Also had a couple of others I promised.
2. I may move to the scoop format down the road once I can afford it. (Have some bills to pay first in real life) If I go to scoop it changes the game for I'll create what Daily Kos could have been, not what it is become. I'd restore everybody banned for no reason and will tolerate no Kos Kops.
I don't out people unless they go around outing others. I've applied this two times - One was over a year ago when Hannity and Levin tried coming after me. They backed off but I had all their home and personal info ready to go viral if their kooks ever posted an address. We're past that now.
Two is the Kos Kops and those at Kos that support it. They have supported the outing of people's real life info, threatening people in real life, etc.. To me their personal info is fair game. I have no problem posting their real names, addresses, places of business, etc... all over the Internet although I've certainly been far more restrained than I could have been.
As for outing, pissing me off is NEVER a grounds for me to out someone. Simply put, I keep people's info private, including their IP, and I am very ethical. I'm up front about what I will and will not do. If pissing me off was my criteria, the real life names, addresses, and work places of Pager, cometman, and Hamburglar would have been plastered all over this site weeks ago. Bottom line is I would never intentionally post outing info about any of them simply because I believe Rager to be a delusional lunatic and I believe Cometman and Hamburglar to simply be the lowest forms of cowards.
One good thing about me is that I have no need to ever be part of any clique. My self worth and self esteem is not dependant on it. The thing that the Kos KOps and a few of the FSZers have in common is that they all have been losers and outcasts in life and desperately seek any form of acceptance b/c it gives them something they've never had in life since the time they were about 3 years old. That is why you see cometman, Pager, Hamburglar and a few others at FSZ act similarly to the Kos Kops. (albeit far less in degreee) They are desperate to feel important and if they think they are part of the "in" crowd of a group, they will erect the gates.
