The NBA ALL STAR TEAMS
Okay this is who should be on the all star team and why.
MY EAST STARTERS
1. Lebron James - Best player
2. Dwight Howard - Superman inside.
3. Kevin Garnett - A great all around player
4. Dwayne Wade - He's back.
5 Paul Pierce - He outplayed Kobe in the finals last year. They are defending champs. He gets the close call over others.
MY EAST RESERVES
Devon Harris - Great trade by the Nets. I loved it at the time. He's in the top 10 in scoring.
Danny Granger - This has been his breakout season.
David Lee - A Double Double night in and night out. Brings intangibles.
Chris Bosh - Best person to qualify as that 2nd required center.
Ray Allen - I give him the nod over Vince Carter by a hair b/c they are the better team.
Joe Johnson - He carries that team. Great all around player.
Close Calls - Jameer Nelson, Mo Williams, Rashard Lewis, Rajon Rondo, Vince Carter, Hedo Terkoglu, For my 12th guy I'll go with Nelson because of the team success.
NOTES - Allan Iverson shouldn't be on the all star team, much less starting.
MY WEST STARTERS
1. Kobe Bryant - Best player in the West.
2. Chris Paul - Best point guard in basketball.
3. Yao Ming - Been rock solid and healthy.
4. Dirk Nowitski - Always been this good.
5. Tim Duncan - He is the Big Fundamental. Just a winner.
MY WEST RESERVES
Brandon Roy - He's the diesel that makes this team go. Mature beyond his years.
Chauncey Billups - Now you know how good he's been and how overrated Iverson has always been.
Kevin Durant - He's been that good.
Tony Parker - 2nd best PG now in the West.
Pau Gasol - I'll play him as the 2nd Center. Again I'll reward the top team with the all star.
Carmelo Anthony - He's one of the best 15 players on the planet. He's being snubbed.
Close Calls - Steve Nash, Deron, Williams, David West, Al Jefferson, Shaq, For my 12th guy I'll go with Nash based on entire body of work and the game being in Phoenix.
