If They Want To Be Private Schools

This is just wrong.

A California appeals court has ruled that a Christian high school can expel students because of an alleged lesbian relationship.

Here's are the problems.  First, the girl's sexual orientation should never be grounds to expel them from  a school even if that school is private.

Second, is this school getting tax benefits?  Is the property being taxed?  Private schools are businesses. People make money against them.  So unless this school California Lutheran is being taxed like every other business in the state, it really isn't that private.

Finally, this is a great example of why you can never have vouchers and why taxpayer funded private schools are always a bad idea.  Remember, private schools can choose their students but public schools except everybody. Private schools can kick out their low performers to boost their numbers instead of educating them.  Public schools can not.
