We've Hit Over 20,000 Visitors

Earlier today we surpassed the 20,000 visit mark.  Let's reflect.

1.  I don't know what I am doing technologically. It has taken me time just to figure out the most basic of tasks.  For the first few weeks the blog design of this site had to be the worst blog design in Internet history.
2.  The comments format I have now is mediocre at best.  Down the road, with more time and money, we can change it to a diary system or tidy up the comments.  Be patient.  You can create threads in this format although most of you are not used to it.  Also you can post anonymously.
3.  I've only been at this for 2 months.
4.  I don't have 17 hours a day, a rich family in some Latin American country to bankroll me, and the money to afford staffers to build the site up to where we would have thousands of active users per day.  If I did, I'd do it and we'd become a top 200 site on the Internet and do it the right way with the right kinds of people in charge.
5.  I have a career in a new profession.  It takes time there to build up a practice and clientele.  I've been getting busier and busier over the past couple of months as my experience grows.  Thus there are long stretches in the day where I don't even have 2 minutes to stop by.
6.  I still teach once a week.  Love it.
7.  I don't spend all day blogging.  I'm out doing other things.  Believe it or not, blogging is not my life.
8.  I'm not 17 anymore. I do need sleep.

I don't know who the 20,000th visitor was so if you are asking for that free set of steak knives, you have to be the 50,000th visitor for that.

Keep up the good work everybody.  The Internet is a humongous place.  We are all part of the progressive and Democratic netroots.  No self appointed gatekeepers speak for us.
