Rush Limbaugh Keeps Destroying The Republican Party

Back in the days before Rush Limbaugh was on the air, Republicans had won 49 states out of 50 in a presidential election.  Along with the Dixiecrats, they controlled both houses of Congress and liberals were out of power.  And along came Rush Limbaugh.

Over time Rush Limbaugh became the spokesperson of conservatism and the voice most associated with the Republican Party.  And what happened?  While a few conservatives became louder, most Americans started becoming more liberal.  From 1992-2006 it was a coin flip, back and forth between the two, win some lose some.

Then Rush Limbaugh mocked Michael J Fox and an upstart named Claire McCaskill became Senator from Illinois.  Across the country now former Republicans were turned off by Rush Limbaugh because heis such an asshole.

And now conservative republicanism is a minority philosophy, on the fast track toward 3rd party status and eventually 4th party status.
So if the Republicans want to be identified as being influenced by Rush Limbaugh, why get in their way?  The more this battle is between Obama and Limbaugh, the deader the Republican Party is.
