We have huge majorities in both houses of Congress.  We have an actual mandate to fix the deleterious policies of conservatism enacted into law by George W Bush, Republicans, and DLC enablers.

We know right wing conservatives are basically vile people who are going to try and obstruct almost all positive changes Obama implements.  So it's simple.

You steamroll them, you ignore them, and you pass whatever the hell you want without their input.  You don't make concessions to them.

Oh and you start cutting every piece of pork that goes to any state with two conservative Republican Senators. 

Democrats have a golden opportunity to be in the majority for 20 years and keep right wing conservatism destroyed for 40 years.  The best way to do that is to simply legislate and ignore the scratching on the blackboard of Snarling Arlen Spector, Mike Pence, John Cornyn and their ilk.
