Fox News Dick Morris' Tax Issues
Dick Morris —The former political adviser to Bill Clinton is a Fox News analyst. The IRS filed a $1.5 million tax lien against him in 2003. The state of Connecticut reports Morris owes $452,367 in back taxes and penalties.
Morris says he's reached an agreement with Connecticut and his name will be removed from the next delinquency list. He says he is committed to paying his taxes: "Following a difficult period in my life, I fell into arrears. But since then, I have paid almost $3 million in state and federal taxes."
Now why would I make this an issue? Simple, Fox News is having Dick Morris get on TV time and time again and bash Democrats for not paying taxes. This is a well known tactic of Fox News and the Far Right. Very often they have the person who had done the behavior in the past (but never repented) bash a Democrat accused of similar behavior. (Usually far less in degree)
Fox News is bashing Timothy Geithner who apparentlyt didn't pay about $42,000 in taxes from 2001-2004. In Geithner's case he was working for the International Monetary Fund and didn't declare himself as self employed. That's how you get the mistake that's happened.
So let's get this straight, the guy who was stiffing the government of 1.9 million dollars in unpaid taxes is out their bashing a guy who didn't pay $42,000 in unpaid taxes. The guy who didn't pay the 1.9 million's excuse is that he had a "difficult period in my life." The guy who owed the $42,000 had a misunderstanding about whether working for the IMF qualified oneself as self employed or not. This is comical.

Dick Morris is a fool. This little RNC midget thinks he's above everyone else. Send the article to Timothy Geithner. Let him have the last laugh.
