On November 30, 2008 I broke a big story by finding a secret website of Daily Kos users supported by Stalinist Markos Moulitsas in which the documentation of bullying, investigating people's real lives, attacking their families, threatening children, and coordinating troll ratings at Daily Kos was revealed in their own words. Also revealed was how complicit Kos and certain front pagers are in this Lord of the Flies cyberbullying. If there was true moderation and an autoban at Daily Kos, the Kos Kops would have been banned long ago.  However, whenever the fight starts tilting against the Kos Kops, administrators step in to rig the playing field by taking away voices and rating privileges of those they oppose.  Then the fight becomes one sided again. 

My discovery and my reporting on Daily Kos has been the most extensive and most poignant regarding the ills and evils of Markos Moulitsas, his thugs, and most of his vile front pagers.  For 5 years many other people, mainly progressives, have tried to tell this story of how Kos is bad for Democrats but never could find the definitive proof to validate the mountains of circumstantial evidence.  Yours truly found that proof.  (Sorry, not in the mood for fake humility.)

The next step in the story was to publicize the names of the people who are the Kos Kops given that most of them have horrific personal lives and pasts.  It's also important given that Kos and the Kos Kops believe it is okay to threaten people's family, try to interfere with one's real life job, investigate one's real life information, and harass them online.

Using UGOG and other info as a guide, I decided that Major Flaw's identity was going to be discovered and publicized.  Countless others have tried to figure out his real life name before me but again I was first.

I had the following pieces of info on Flaw:
1.  He was an attorney
2.  He first went to college in 1978
3.  He lived in Peter King's district..
4.  He's been a practicing attorney for 23 years (then 22)
5.  He worked in Manhattan.

If you go through the list of all people who fit this criteria, you may end up with 10 people. 

Then I discovered something else.  Major Flaw acknowledged having something to do with BAMRA as a board member.  I researched BAMRA and guess what name I found as a board member?

Answer = The person I incorrectly mentioned for the first couple of hours before I was able to correct the mistake within a day and get the name Michael Fingerit out there as the real Major Flaw.

The person I incorrectly mentioned also fit every criteria above.  That is why I had that name prior to BAMRA and focused in on it and the political connections.  Now here is where I screwed up.

1.  I assumed Flaw 's hype to some degree that he had some influence in NYC politics.  Turns out, he's a total nobody in every which way.
2.  I didn't take the last step in confirming BAMRA and relied on an unanswered email to BAMRA's president as proof of my initial wrong name. (Yes I actually was trying to dot my Is and cross my Ts.)

Now there is a complete revelation of how the mistake was made.  I feel awful given that the person's name I mentioned initially turns out to be a great guy and a phenomenal lawyer.  I feel relieved knowing that the person behing MajorFlaw is a loser in real life as well as blog life.

Now some additional points.

1.  Those who know me best know what kind of person I am.  I am somebody who always tries to be truthful and tries to get things right. When I get something wrong, I have something called feelings and yes it does bother me.  People who disagree with me politically often respect me because they believe I have something called integrity.  Simply put, I have more integrity in my pinkie than Kos and every front pager at Daily Kos combined.  They'll never know the meaning nor practicality of the word.
2.  When I make a mistake I own up to it.  I owned up to this from the beginning.  I've now explained in lengthy detail how the mistake was made.  Go find another blogger who has ever made a mistake (and most have and in their cases some really big ones) and then explained it with this much candor.  Good luck.  Yes I'll arrogantly state that Daily Kos has made tens of thousands of mistakes far bigger and more egregious than my honest mistake.  Yet I have spent more time herein explaining how I made ONE mistake and doing it candidly than they have for tens of thousands of mistakes combined. 
3.  The mistake of the wrong name was only for a couple of hours and was pulled immediately.  However, keep in mind that Stalinist Kos and his Kos Kops are looking for any way to discredit me because they can't attack the facts I put forth so they thought they could attack me here.  Other than Kos, his Kos Kops, and his idiotic front pagers, no person has done more to expose how bad DailyKos is for Democrats than me.  Given my inside knowledge of the site, I have the capacity to take it down, a capacity that no one on the Right has. 
4.  I'm not part of any clique. I'm not concerned about what ex Kos Kops who still act like Kos Kops think about me.  I certainly couldn't give two shits what the small band of Stalinist assholes think of me.  I'm quite comfortable in my body and shoes.

So if this is all you numbnuts have to hang your hat on, you are even more pathetic than I thought.
