Hard to tell them apart. Beneath all the fluff and pizazz is an evil man named Rick Warren. He can hide behind the name of Jesus but he is anything back.

All his comparisons involve fanaticism. I doubt very much that he sees that. There are a number of grammatical mistakes in his speech and misspellings, one being commitment which he has with 2 t's. His cadences are timed to appeal to the ear as music, as an emotional suggestive order, not to the intellect. This is the mark of the rabble rouser. A better comparison Dave would be listening to Hitler's German juxtaposed to Warren's English because that's where you really see the similarity of the fanaticism. I don't know how to do that but maybe you do.

I'm going to be immodest and say that nobody has ever done a better job of dissecting the follies and foolishness of Warren's book "The Purpose Driven Life" than me. (Check my archives under Rick Warren) Basically his logic is that of a 2nd grader in need of remedial reading and remedial writing. They should be used as examples of syllogistic idiocy in math classes.
Warren is a demagogue, authoritarian, fascistic, and a blind zealot not much different from Osama Bin Laden. In fact Warren's Saddleback Church is modeled after Osama Bin Laden in that they use the cover of a couple of good causes to hide the real agenda, which is wipe the world out of everyone who has a different religious POV.
Osama Bin Laden invested tens of millions of dollars in mosques and charities. Same model.
