Oh our "favorite" Napoleonic sized, I had to east fast and run to the library because I didn't have any friends in high school douchebag from a multi millionaire dollar El Salvadoran family who comes from the libertarian Democrat, Reagan Republican, unapologetic liberal, strong progressive, DLC, who cares about ideology wing of the Democratic Party has made a big announcement at his site.  He says "he's back" and not to sound 'trite or trivial" but Kos employees NOW get full benefits.  Wonder if this includes the part time assistant he mentioned?  wonder if this includes the so called 25-50 people who work for him?  Oh wait, he says it's only 8 people.

See he's such a swell guy.  If you work for him (or some people who work for him) you get health care and gosh darn it, according to Kos, "benefits are expensive."  Gee welcome to the real world.  Only took you til 2009 to realize that?  He may announce in 2010 that Kos employees even get bathroom breaks twice a day and gosh darn it, they won't have to pay for their own toilet paper too. 

Kos claimed over a million dollars in revenue last year which considering some of the Clinton payola, is far less than the reported $25-50 million in yearly revenue that Alexa claims he used to make.  Simply put, if he wasn't such an authoritarian asshole and evil individual, he'd be making eight digits a year.  That's what happens when you allow the pariahs of the blogging world (Fingerit, Bouldin, Houle, Condoleaser, Trash, Clawson) to overtake the site.  The immediate hits generated by the troll hunting and bullying is the proverbial penny wise, pound foolish to business.  No wonder you've lost 75% of your viewers since September of 2008.  More should follow.

Now he's claiming he's going to do all these "cool things."  Eat fast and run to the library isn't one of them I suppose.

Cool thing number one is "professionalize."  Oops, guess DailyKos is a product not a soapbox.  See, ordinary citizens Daily Kos is a gatekeeping site.  Don't tow their line, no matter how in the mainstream your views are with the Democratic Party, and you will be called a troll and driven from the site.  Kos considers providing benefits part of professionalizing. He calls it a "huge accomplishments."

"Cool" thing number two is "New Products."  The "Congress Matters" by Kagro is a huge flop.  Very few Democrats listen to what a bunch of angry keyboardists type at a site owned by Screw Them Markos. Oh and he has his "Electoral Scoreboard.'"  Actually he basically copied CNN's.

"Cool" thing number three is "polling."  And if you give money to Kos, your numbers will be manipulated. Didn't work, many candidates who should have won did not.  But he commissions these select polls.

"Cool" thing number four is "DK4."  He's got designers (do they get benefits?) that will take the "blogging platform" to a "whole new level."  Guess what? He's eliminating the one a day limit on diaries. (He can do that now.)  Oh he's so nice, next thing you know you may get a free duffel bag after you post 1000 diaries.  Now this should be interesting.  The "troll hunters" will go nuts as people post multiple diaries and get accused of being trolls because their diaries of course suck and they are doing this merely to drive the better diaries down the page.  Now I've said this before, the ONLY reason his site was able to have ONCE been a top 500 site (it's now lingering around 10,000) according to Alexa (they loved the ranking system then) was because Kos, whether accidentally or because software design is truly an area where he's very gifted, came across the software and developed the software that put the technology of his blog light years ahead of all the other ones.  When you are the first store on the block (Sears) or the biggest (Walmart) you have a huge advantage.  (And it's certainly nice to have millionaires in your family backing you up) Yet despite this huge advantage, Kos has blown it as Daily Kos is self destructing and continues to self destruct daily. (See I just don't have that power.)

He claims he was 'back" yet a look at his diaries showed he was plenty active in late November and December bashing every Democrat he could find.  He took a vacation for a week and the biggest lag between diaries was 4 days. (Jan 8-12)  Oh well, he was not missed.  It's got to anger him knowing that most Democrats don't like him.
