Celebrating Our Good Work And Clarification
Tonight I celebrate our good work in the success we are having in exposing Kos. I say our because of the approximately 201,000 registered names at Daily Kos, 192,000 of them did NOT post a single comment, write a single diary, or rec a single diary. For the mathematically challenged, that's about 96%. Why did 96% of all registered names (granted many are duplicates) NOT participate at DailyKos last week? Oh, they're banned or left the site. I have several separate and disjointed points to make.
1. I reflect back and see so many people who are actively opposing the Kos Kops who I never thought we do such a thing 3 months ago. While many Kos users have their heads buried in the sand or buried up Markos' ass, a perhaps larger amount have seen what is really going on.
2. Next, for you Kos liars. Read my last diary. When someone writes in their last diary that this is their final diary, they are choosing to leave. Get it right. Davefromqueens left the hatemongering site DailyKos on HIS own accord because of horrible things Kos and the Kostapo was doing.
3. I am not part of any crowd. I don't desire to be. I judge people individually. That means I may choose to be friends with people from all groups and choose not to be friends with people from all groups. I blog in a variety of different places. I don't like everybody in every community.
4. I understand that the Kos Kops and Kos have chosen the narrative that attacking yours truly will somehow distract people from certain truths. Keep thinking that. What made last night's article a huge success was its content not its author. The article synthesizes all the key facts about Kos in a way that anybody could understand in 60 seconds. Moreover, you can expect those talking points to be repeated over and over and over again in the blogosphere to define Markos the gatekeeper. Call it one stop shopping.
5. The content not the author will win the day. You can trot out your usual adjectives but most often you Kos Kops are describing yourself. The content of the article prevails. You can find some capitalization error, spelling error, or nitpick a minor point, but the article was so well sourced and documented that any minor errors make you look foolish.
6. The Kos Kops deserve no sympathy. It's almost as if Markos willingly agreed to be part of some kind of online experiment which mixed in the Stanford Prison Experiments, the Milgram Studies, the Lord of the Flies, and Survivor. These people act in ways that are so deplorable that the only thing decent people can do is expose them for what they are doing. We don't point them out and mock them out of meanness, we do it out of necessity so that others are aware of who you are and what you are doing. And the fact that almost all of them are these burnt out never been white males in their late 40s and 50s makes them all the more pathetic.
7. Keep the big picture in mind. I understand that there are a million more important issue but Moulitsas has ambitions of trying to take over the Democratic Party through his website on the Internet. To date, he's gotten virtually nowhere but he has the technology, the money, and the gate. It's our job as Democrats to marginalize him and expose him because he's bad for Democrats. When he primaries Dems in 2010, we'll defend our incumbents. If there are Dems in Congress too closely aligned to him (and there are a small few) then we will point out who they are, give the politician a chance to disown the little evil man, but if the politician fails to do so, punish that politician at the polls. That's what this is really about. It's about who speaks for the Democratic Party. It's not me but it sure as hell will never be him.
So given that all the numbers and trends show Kos' site collapsing and that only a few thousand people go there per week because they are tired of his lies, hate, smears, and venom, we celebrate. I shall publish the article and have a glass of the good stuff. I've earned it, so have you.
