This week in Stalinist Daily Kos a grand total of 886 (NOT THE MILLIONS THE MEDIA PROCLAIMS) user id numbers at Daily Kos wrote diaries where 9,053 individuals either wrote a diary, wrote a comment, or recommended a diary.  Apparently, 4,967 different computer screens across the world "lurked" at DailyKos, meaning they looked at the site.  That of course could mean that these are many of the same 9,053 Kossacks who merely looked over the site at work or at a friend's or relative's computer.  the 9,053 figure does not include multiple people or trolls. Guesses are the figure is much less.  More people go to my local bagel store in a week than they do participate at Daily Kos.  Hopefully this 9,053 number drops under 8,000 in the very near future.  I do take heat for using Alexa numbers at time. I concede these aren't the best numbers (so why does Kos use the toolbar?)  I believe the best numbers to show trends are Jotter's statistics.  There are flaws but they seem to be a good indicator.  The number of diarists at the site has dropped 75% in 10 weeks. 

Number5, George Gould, and deedogg were banned for no reason along with several others because they didn't conform to the Kos Kops.  Join the club of thousands, if not tens of thousands at this point.  Best screen name of the week was Andy Dufresne, already banned, who decided to play a little opera.  Andy was hounded by Kos Kop Musing 85, another male in his late 40s who supported the Kos Kops when they outed 5 different people at Daily Kos.  Now outing of people's real life info is wrong 99.99% of the time but it is always proper when it deals with Kos Kops, the administrators who support them, and Kos himself.  Musing85 appears to be Michael Jon Spires, a bureaucrat at Northern Illinois Univ., the school that gave us Kos. Here is a link to his screen name.  Oh, when BarbinMd emailed me back in Sept. to defend her fellow Kos Kops, the email was linked to a woman named Barbara Morris in Baltimore, Maryland. So either Barbara Morris is a lie or Barbara Morrill is a lie.

The hatred of Caroline Kennedy took a back seat at DailyKos because it was time for the I/P wars to heat up.  Kos wants people on both sides banned.  I/Ps are a golden opportunity to troll. No matter which side you take, the Kos Kops can consider you a troll.

Speaking of Kos Kops, Laura Clawson slept with 10 cats this week as she does every week.  Bottles may have forgotten his medication a couple of days this week as his comments got a little more bizarre.  Bottles/condoleaser is in his late 50s and lives in Maryland. He's the guy who lost his license to be a chiropractor in Colorado for admittedly sexually assaulting 2 patients. Who knows how many others Condoleaser abused?  But that's the kind of person Markos Moulitsas wants as a Kos Kop. You mess with Markos Moulitsas, Michael Fingerit (MajorFlaw) will investigate you and bottles can then threaten your teenage daughter.  How very "progressive" of them.

Only 3,811 active users at DailyKos. I put the number to be generally around 4000 but I'll be nice and say 5000.  Note to media, Kos has about 5000 active users per day, not half a million.  Once you realize this, you'll ignore him.
