Great New Site Changes UpComing

It's been almost two months.  Starting a blog is not easy.  Learning how to manage it, find time for it, establishing an identity, and producing the material to keep and retain viewers is even more difficult.  However, we're off to a good start and now we want to get bigger.

This site is primarily targeted for progressives, liberals, and moderates who lean Democratic.  I do not care about Stalinist Kossacks but I do care about the majority of real users of that site who want to leave.  You can come here and comment and go to 100 other sites on the net.  I do not care about the gang of Kos Kop victims who act like the Kos Kops.  My site is not geared toward you.  This is a site of substance and sometimes we even have fun here.  Sometimes we relax and chill and talk about issues unrelated to sports.

In 6 weeks the articles that have gotten the most traffic have been the DailyKos articles.  However I'm going to cut back on those.  I will post the weekly "This Week In Stalinist DailyKos" series on Sundays or Mondays in which I give a 5-10 minute summary of all the garbage that has gone on with the Stalinist Daily Kooks and enjoy its decline toward irrelevance. I will also post about 1 other article per week (or none) The big expose of Markos is coming soon in which I put everyone's work together to provide the knockout punch that can be used to ensure that this megalomaniac is finished in politics.

As for comments, this is much easier than soapblox.  All you have to do is post a comment and you do not have to use your real name.  It's a fairly liberal policy posting.

One problem I had is lack of certainty with my site.  I was just posting random stuff at different times. Sometimes it was 4 articles in a day, sometimes it was a day with nothing.  Thus, as a reader, you had no idea what was here and when.  That changes.  Now I will have regular features at set times so you can take 2-5 minutes out of your day and read and participate in those areas.  Here are the major features that should definitely be in place by next Monday.

Monday Morning - This Week In Stalinist Kos (This may go up Sunday night but it's your meta. It's a review of the thuggery, cyberbullying, lying, and dishonesty over at DailyKos along with Kos Kop exposes.  This small gang of people is bad for the Democratic Party and must be taken down.  We'll expose them weekly.)

Monday Afternoon - News Around The Net (This will be a triweekly feature) - Here I search other progressive web sites and news outlets and link to important news and stories.  So instead of you searching for 30 minutes to find what you want, I may be able to give it to you in 30 seconds.

Tuesdays - Solutions Tuesday - This is a combo of self help, help for others, and help for our country.  I will link to ways to improve ourselves separate of politics as well as ideas for policies.  Votes before Congress would be another area of discussion and analysis.

Wednesday -   News Around the Net (see above.)
Wednesday -   Open Thread (This open thread is about anything, especially your ideas that may not be popular.)

Thursday Morning - Lessons In Education - A weekly look at something to improve our schools or lessons I've learned from teaching that other teachers can benefit from.

Thursday Afternoon - Those Nutty Right Wingers - Let us not forget that these people are the biggest threat to our country and democracy so we will keep exposing nuts like Hannity and Coulter;.

Friday Morning - Thank Good It's Friday - Here I link to good stories and discuss good news.
Friday Afternoon - News Around the Net - (see above)

There are other ideas in the works, including for weekends but I believe the certainty of these scheduled diaries will ensure that regular readers can gather at regular times and join the discussion or just read interesting news.  Then I can mix in another story or two per day but I believe with the nuts and bolts of the site in place, we can grow and hopefully reach 100,000 weekly viewers per week.
