Leaving Iraq
Once again, simplicity takes over.
We should start leaving Iraq January 21, 2009. We should never have been there in the first place and our continued presence there in Iraq not only makes us less secure but it costs 10 billion dollars a month, money we need in our own economy.
When we withdraw it should be as soon as possible. That means the fewest number of days it takes to have all our troops leave safely. If it's 15 days, so be it. If it's 45 days, so be it. You make whatever contingencies necessary to ensure said safety.
We also make sure that Chevron, Exxon, and BP have no control over the Iraqi oil fields. That is the oil of the Iraqi people, not the big corporations George W Bush waged a proxy war on behalf of.
