Most Americans Still Don't Vote
Here is an excellent chart I saw posted at Fivethirtyeight which came from the census bureau. In 1984, 23.09% of all eligible adults voted for Ronald Reagan. Stated otherwise, 77% of Americans never voted for him. And Barack Obama? Pretty close.

And herein lies the problem. America's decline started in 1968 with Nixon yet 84% of adults never voted for him. 82% of adults never voted for Bush in 2000.
We need automatic voter registration in this country. We need to end felony disenfranchisement. I'd also propose a $500 check for voting so long as we find a way to pay for it. Those who don't vote (absent a medical reason or real emergency) need too.
